D&AD Ministry of Sound posters

This is a D&AD Ministry of Sound typography-based outdoor poster design project. The concept of these posters emphasizes the use of 3 facilities in MOS; namely the sound system, lighting system and fog machine and how they help to create and enhance the clubbing experience in MOS. These 3 posters represent the progression of euphoric experiences and eventually attaining the ultimate high while partying in MOS. Each set of typography and its message is specially created to represent its respective facility in MOS and its euphoria effects. The design style is meant to be modern to suit the MOS branding and culture.

This project compromises 3 posters and 3 sets of promotional card each representing a month. The cards are screen printed and triplexed with a colored middle artcard with foil stamping effect on both sides.

This is a M&S packaging design project to create a picnic pack catered to couples. The main concept revolves around the idea of creating a sexual and sensual mood/message to arouse sexual desires between lovers through the introduction of aphrodisiac food. The packaging takes inspiration from the process of love making right from the starter to the dessert. All the packaging carries sexual connotations from the witty and naughty titles to the form and function of the packaging itself and the kinky activities given for couples to engage in. Where do I stand?

“Where do I stand?” is a data-logy project that focuses on information regarding the knowledge-driven economy in today’s society. It aims to portray the “facts” of how important education is and how it can affect many other factors in life. Facts and information retrieved are being represented through the idea of a book symbolizing wisdom, knowledge and academic pursuits. Using an object instead of printed info graphic, allowed information to be expressed from a 360-degree angle, inside and outside of the book. The books show the different ways that can be used to explain and represent different set of data and statistics. For eg, how the seven different levels of education qualifications (using education levels based in United States: 1) doctoral degree, 2) master’s degree, 3) bachelor’s degree, 4) associate’s degree, 5) some college no degree, 6)high school diploma, 7)less than high school) differs from one another in these areas:1) occupation 2) salary 3) social economic status 4) Happiness Level 5) percentage of workforce.

The Piano Painting Device

“ The Piano Painting Device” is a research project that explores the concept of music color theory and its ability to create a synesthetic experience when used on a piano medium. The idea also revolves around investigating and exploring the work of a famous composer and pianist, Frédéric Chopin. The results of the generative art (ink mark patterns on the scroll) created by this installation when playing Chopin’s pieces was used to identify the emotions in the music and analyze its relation to his personal life.

A video was recorded demonstrating how the device works. The pianist played two excerpts of Chopin's piece 1)Frédéric Chopin's Étude Op. 10 No. 3, in E major 2)Frédéric Chopin's Piano Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor, Op. 35, 3rd movement, Funeral March.
